This tutorial provides very useful shortcut keys and hints to operate mouse pointer using keyboard. It is very important to remember these shortcut keys so that you can use it whenever you need.
Most of the users are habitual of using mouse. It`s also a fact that mouse makes the work easy and fast.
But what if mouse stops working or damage?
It`s possible.
Then what?
And the other possible thing may be that you don`t know keyboard shortcuts or not have fast command on keyboard to operate the computer.
That can really make your work difficult.
( Although, Don`t worry, i will explain to operate computer using only keyboard step by step later in future tutorials )

You are right. You can buy another one.
But may be, it`s not possible at the moment.
Control Mouse Pointer with the Keyboard :
- Switch to the Desktop
- Now, Press left Alt + left Shift + Num Lock keys together.( Keep pressing alt and shift keys).
- You will see the new pop window as shown in image below.
- Now Press Ok to keep mouse keys on.
- Operate mouse pointer by using numeric keypad ( 8 , 2 , 4 , 6 keys.)
That`s it.
Note : This may be work only for keyboards which are available with numeric
keypad. As it includes Num Lock key in shortcuts; Mostly laptop keyboards
are not come with numeric keypad.
This will help you to continue your work without keyboard.
The Pointer Speed will be slow by default.
You can increase the mouse pointer speed from :
- Control panel >> Hardware >> Mouse.
That`s a simple guide to use your Keyboard as Mouse to the Mouse Pointer in case of no mouse and you have no knowledge to operate your computer with Keyboard.
