How to Save Contacts to SIM Card or Memory Card In Android Phone


This is all about how to save contacts from phone memory to memory card or SIM card.You have to do so to keep your contacts saved at some safe place.
Sometimes your contacts are either deleted or lost incidentally and you don`t  have backup or saved contacts at any other place.

Say, your phone is not working properly, you go to samsung sevice centre  and submit your problem and they update your phone`s software and you don`t have backup of your data saved in your phone.

Then , what ?
You have lost your contacts.

But How good is this , If you already have backup of your contacts saved in your memory card or saved in SIM Card.

Let`s see how to store contacts in memory card or SIM card in samsung mobile.



How to Save Contacts to SIM Card or Memory Card :



  • Open Contacts
  • Press on Options Button ( below the screen with Home and Back Buttons in Touchscreen Mobiles )
  • Press on Import/Export. Now ,You will see :
                                                   Import from SD card
                                                  Export to SD card
                                                 Import from SIM card
                                                 Export to SIM card




  • Choose Export to SD card or Export to SIM card , according to your wish where you want to save your contacts.
  • Press Yes to Confirm Export.It will take few seconds to process.


Note : This is according to Samsung Galaxy Y Duos. So, The procedure may not 
           be the same for all devices.



For other android devices of different mobile manufacturers, you will find the same or something similar to this in Contacts >> Menu/Options >> Import/Export or Copy .
