Most Easy Ways to Update Nokia Phone Yourself

This article is about updating your Nokia phone yourself without going Nokia care.

When you got any problem or bug in your phone , you need to update your phone OR  If Nokia make any changes or updates to software, you can update your phone`s software for better use.

Let`s see how can you update your phone and what points you should keep in mind ?

Keep in Mind Before Updating : 



You might lost 
-Contacts
-Messages
-Notes or other application installed on your phone 
after updating your phone.

So, You should move your Contacts to SIM Card or save them in memory card, Copy Messages and Notes from phone memory to your computer or memory card.
For this, You can Backup your phone using Nokia PC Suite to Computer.

Befor Proceeding, Check your phone`s installed version by simply dialling *#0000# .

Here, you will get information about installed software`s current version in your phone.

Note: In some Nokia phones like N73 and above, Here is also an option for 
         Updating the device.

Two ways for Updating Your Phone:

First : An Easy and very simple way is  

• Go to Settings >> Device >> Device Updates in your phone.This will check for updates..

If there is any software update for your device is available, It shows " New Software Update is available and Version of Software " for this device or something like this .

Otherwise, " No New Software Updates Available " or something like this.


Second : Other way is using Nokia PC Suite or Nokia Software Updater ;

Note : Before Proceeding for this , First visit Nokia official website and check for 
          the updates available or not by selecting your device from the list.

• Open Nokia PC Suite >> Nokia Phone Software Icon ( In fourth row last icon )

• This will first detect the phone connected and then check for Available Updates.

• If updates are available, It will show  " New Software Update is available " for this device ,Then Click on Click Here to Download 

• It will take some time to Download the Update and After Completion Asks for Update >> Click on Update and You will be informed after successful updation.

                          OR

• If no updates are available,It will show " No Software Update is available " or something like this.

Important Note :  Power Interruption or Internet Disconnection during updation 
                            may lead to bad results.Be aware of it.
